The Doctrine of total Depravity Part one.

All mankind is by nature totally depraved in the heart is where God saw the greatest wickedness, The heart is a metaphorical term denoting those mental affections which are the principles or of the beginning of all human activities. Here depravity exists at the very cord or such I say the very fountain from which all of the human action flow. Genesis 6:5,8:21. God stated that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. Genesis 6:5 and the same in 8:21. When adam disobeyed God in the garden and did eat of the fruit of the tree which God commanded them not to eat from and that is where human depravity started to flow. So you see depravity all started in the garden of Eden with our very first parents Genesis 3:6-7. So man by his fall into a state of sin, hath wholly lost all ability to will anything that is spiritually good accompanying salvation being altogether averse from that good and is dead in sin and he is not able by his own will or strength to save himself, or to even prepare himself for salvation. Man is 100% totally depraved he is spiritually dead in trespasses and sin. Sin has affected all parts of man. Heart, emotions, will, mind, and body are all affected by sin. We are completely sinful. We are not as sinful as we could be, But we are totally and completely affected by sin. Depravity is natural to mankind; it is born in him and not evil acquired in the progress of life. Psalm 58:3,51:5. We were born dead and we live dead {spiritually} We were born spiritual corpses and we live as spiritual dead corpses. The serpents bring their venom from the womb Psalms 58:3. We can not but speak and do evil it is in our very nature so we are under the total wrath of the almighty and eternal and never-ending ruin is our as we gradually split into the whirlpool of death and we can not do anything to pull ourselves out of this ruin that he is in without the divine intervention from God. Apart from God’s sovereign grace, man is absolutely incapable of saving himself. He has neither the will nor the power to change his wicked heart. So too man can not possibly change the wicked character of his heart and will or his mind. Man is born into this world with a wicked heart and a corrupt nature. This is only part one I will finish it up in part two in my next blog. In my next blog, I will finish this and bring to you what the Arminians say about this. until my next blog, God bless and God keep you always.
